As per KVS Letter No. F.1103/44/OSD/KVS/09/Adv dt 7 Aug 09. A local excursion for class I to III was arranged by the vidyalaya. The purpose of the excursion was to make the children familiar with their surroundings near by areas.
The excursion started with a rally at 8:20 ams. Our worthy Principal Mr C.K. Mittal inaugurated the rally by showing a green flag. The motive of the rally was the environment green and clear. The students were holding the mottoes with slogans “Clean Earth Green Earth” “Say No to Poly Bags” under the guidance of the Headmaster Mr. Harnek Singh and class teachers. The students visited the Air Force Campus Area.
At 9 o clocks the students assembled in Gurudwara Sahib Sangat AFS Barnala , where the children took the holy Prasad and started for the visit to a Paper Mix Mill ,where the card board sheet were made with the waste paper turning into a pulp. The children visited the factory and observed the process of milling, pressing and cutting into sheets.
At about 10 o clock the students were ready for the village Thikriwal. On the way they enjoyed the lush green area, drains fields and farms. In the Gurudwara Sahib they had Prasad and langar and got blessings. The children learned the traditions of holy places .Returning from the village the children took a rest in Gurudwara Baba Ajit Singh Nagar and after break of 20 minutes all returned to vidyalaya at 11.30 am. The vidyalaya Principal Mr C.K. Mittal distributed the refreshment among the students .
